The Buffalo Bills are confident that quarterback Thaddeus Lewis will be ready to play in Week 7. He has practiced in full this week. The only question remaining is who will play backup between Jeff Tuel and the newly-acquired Matt Flynn. Lewis played relatively well against Cincinnati in Week 6, throwing the rock for 216 yards and two TDs. Buffalo nearly won the game as well, but lost the game in overtime.
Lewis led the Bills on a pretty good comeback last week, tossing two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to almost steal away a W from the Bengals. Despite that promising performance, fantasy owners should remain highly skeptical of Lewis. This is an average offense on its best day and Lewis has zero track record to fall back on. A speculative add in deeper formats isn't out of the question. That said, there should be at least 25 better QBs playing every week.
