NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is expected to start in Week 7. HIs return was not anticipated until perhaps after the Titans' Week 8 bye. Locker was carted off the field in Week 4 with a serious hip injury. The team has not yet confirmed or denied Locker's starting status.
It's not official just yet, but this is a good thing. Locker was playing very well statistically and had his team off to a 3-1 start if you include his Week 4 contributions. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick has not faired nearly as well. Tennessee has lost two straight and Fitz threw two INTs in each of those games. Granted, the opponents weren't easy (vs Kansas City and at Seattle, respectively) so starting Locker might be an attempt to salvage the season before the losses really pile up. Locker is someone you could hold on your bench. Before he went down, he was a reliable QB2 and might be available on your waiver wire right now.
