Consider this an update to today's earlier note about Jake Locker being expected to start against the 49ers on Sunday. The Associated Press reported Saturday night, via a source familiar with the situation, that Locker will indeed get the start.
"Titans coaches and trainers met Saturday and decided Locker should start rather than backup Ryan Fitzpatrick the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Titans did not announce the decision," AP writer Teresa Walker wrote.
As Matt De Lima wrote in his post on Locker, this is good news for the Titans' offense considering how well the third-year Washington product was playing prior to his hip injury. He completed 62.2 percent of his passes and played turnover-free football in four games. However, for fantasy purposes, the Titans' passing game should be left on your bench. Kendall Wright is worth a look in PPR leagues; I'd forget about the rest of that crew otherwise. And Locker is just a mid-range QB2 against San Francisco's defense.
