Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts thinks he'll play

After admitting he had been playing through pain, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts @CecilShortsIII told reporters he will "definitely" play Sunday against the 49ers. The 25-year-old receiver is dealing with a clavicle injury (previously described as an SC joint sprain).

Fantasy Analysis:

Shorts played last week against San Diego with the same injury and came out of it relatively unscathed and no worse for wear. This week against the 49ers might be a different story, at least when considering the matchup. San Francisco eighth best defense in the league and allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to WRs so they're slightly above-average. Points might be difficult to come by since the 49ers have only allowed two WR TDs in their last six contests. If Shorts plays, he remains a good WR2, especially with all that garbage time available to him. If he doesn't play, look for Justin Blackmon @JustBlack81 to see about 20 targets (slight exaggeration, but I wouldn't be surprised).
