The New York Giants could be without the services of running back Brandon Jacobs due to a slow-healing hamstring pull. Jacobs did not practice Thursday and his absence would lead to another split backfield shared by Michael Cox and Peyton Hillis . The latter receiving more playing time last week and the more likely choice to earn more carries.
The Giants' backfield is a crowded, injured mess. Even if Jacobs plays, he is a flex play on his best day and the same could be said for Hillis or Cox. The Eagles rank slightly above average in fantasy points allowed to RBs and have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher, although RB Jamaal Charles did post 172 total yards against them. If you must start Hillis, keep in mind his rushing totals were very low last week and he only salvaged the day by scoring a TD.
