Undisclosed hamstring injury slowed Vikings RB Adrian Peterson

According to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson @AdrianPeterson, he injured his hamstring about five weeks ago and the "gradual tightness ... made him tentative" while running the football. Peterson did not initially disclose the injury to the coaching staff until recently. This could explain why Peterson only had 13 carries Monday night against the New York Giants. Peterson only told the coaching staff in the last few days because he feels the injury has more or less passed.

Fantasy Analysis:

AD, you've got to keep it real with your fantasy masses. We need to know these things. Be honest with us and we'll be grateful. This news is a little bit surprising because five weeks ago covers Peterson's best game of the season back in Week 4 when he rushed 23 times for 140 yards and two TDs against Pittsburgh. If he was healthy, he might've ran for 200 yards at least, right? Peterson, like usual, is a must-start regardless of any headlines he makes for fibbing to the entire football-loving public. Hopefully this worst of this hamstring injury has already come and gone.
