The Buffalo Bills were without running back C.J. Spiller at practice Friday. The early reports suggest Spiller will not play against the Saints after being listed doubtful. Fred Jackson remains the back to own out of the bunch and Tashard Choice would assume backup duties if Spiller is sidelined. Spiller has been ineffective while practicing and playing through this ankle injury.
Spiller should've done this weeks ago. It really came to a head last week when he only rushed for 11 yards on six carries and added three catches for negative-four yards. That's just awful and for a guy selected in the first half of the first round of drafts, he's burned a ton fantasy owners. In the short-term, leave Spiller on your bench and give this some time. If he has fresh legs for your postseason games, Spiller could dominate and close the season on a really high note. He has to get healthy first and that's been much easier said than done up to this point.
