Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White did not practice Friday and will be out for Week 8 according to head coach Mike Smith. White has not played since Week 5 as he continues to rest his sprained ankle. WR Harry Douglas will be Atlanta's No. 1 receiver since WR Julio Jones is also out and on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. TE Tony Gonzalez also figures to play a large role in the Falcons' passing game.
2013 is looking like a very disappointing season for Atlanta. They did manage to secure a win last week against Tampa, but sitting at 2-4 will prove difficult to recover from. The Falcons' rank 30th in rushing yards per game, 22nd in total offense and 20th in total defense. Those numbers can be a bit arbitrary; however, they accurately summarize Atlanta's season. Fantasy owners should be all over Douglas if he's somehow still available in your league. Gonzalez also makes for a great weekly play at tight end as well. White will need a good string of practices next week to get back on the field.
