Pats WR Kenbrell Thompkins barely plays, WR Aaron Dobson leads group in snaps

Now that New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola is back, for now anyway, it appears to have negatively impacted WR Kenbrell Thompkins. The rookie only played in 14-of-65 snaps (21.3-percent) while fellow teammate WR Aaron Dobson led the way for receivers by playing 50 snaps.

Fantasy Analysis:

Here's the full breakdown for WRs: Dobson 50, Amendola 39, Collie 33, Edelman 33, and Thompkins 14. The passing game never really got off the ground as Tom Brady only finished with 116 passing yards, marking the third time he's finished with less than 200 yards. Brady only threw for under 200 once in his past two seasons. Given Brady's up-and-down year, injuries coming and going in the receiving corps, none of these guys are all that appealing as a consistent fantasy starter. Each week it seems someone else steps up. Even Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski played fewer snaps than Michael Hoomanawanui. Good luck if you choose to roll with any of them.

thanks for the insight matt -- edelman and thompkins helped get me out of the gate ( benched last couple games or so ) --time to move on --- i just needed to here it from someone knowledgeable and foremost DECISIVE --- still hopin gronk posts BIG numbers tho -- got him in 2 of 15 leagues

Now, how about an analysis of Brady. Even as a HOF'er, does he have what it takes to be in a fantasy lineup this year? Even Pryor, who has nobody to throw to and generally runs more than this RB does has scored more fantasy points than Brady (1 pt differnce in my league, but Pryor missed a game so I effectively say that Pryor has scored more).

EDIT: Pryor runs more than the OAK RB, not "more than this RB."
