The Miami Dolphins will be without the services of their No. 3 wide receiver Brandon Gibson for the rest of the season. He has a torn patellar tendon and will go under the knife Monday. Gibson scored on a four-yard TD reception and just minutes later ended up carted off in the first quarter. WR Rishard Matthews will see more playing time with Gibson out indefinitely.
This is a tough loss for Miami. They were seeing significant contributions from all their key receivers and Gibson was keeping pace statistically with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline . Gibson already had 30 catches for 326 yards and three TDs, making him a fringe player on the rise across fantasy leagues. The 26-year-old has two years left on his deal with Miami.
