The St. Louis Rams should have running back Zac Stacy ready to roll in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans. Stacy sprained his ankle last week and early reports were not positive he would play in the short-term. It turns out the ankle is not as sprained as it was initially diagnosed. Stacy was able to practice in full Thursday and should be ready to play Sunday barring a setback.
Stacy has really emerged for the Rams as a do-it-all option. He sees most, if not all, of the teams' red zone and goal-line work. He catches the occasional pass and is averaging a healthy 4.6 yards per carry since taking over about a month ago. Use the rookie with confidence as a RB2 against a below average Titans' defense which ranks 24th in run defense (117.1 ypg).
