The Minnesota Vikings have already stood behind quarterback Christian Ponder by announcing he will be the team's starter against the Washington Redskins in Week 10. The former Florida State signal-caller completed 25-of-37 for 236 yards, one TD, one INT and one rushing TD. The Vikings are on a short week and face Washington during Thursday Night Football.
Ponder nearly stole away an upset victory against Dallas, but the Cowboys clinched the win on a touchdown in the final minute. Head coach Leslie Frazier told the press, "I don't see why we would make a change." Not the most adamant defense of a quarterback, but the Vikings really don't have a better option. For fantasy owners, Ponder shouldn't even cross your mind as a potential starter. Minnesota will bench him at the drop of a hat to give Josh Freeman another chance.
