The Buffalo Bills could have quarterback E.J. Manuel back on the field as soon as Week 10 now that he has been cleared to resume practicing. He did appear as a limited practice participant last week. Manuel started the first five games of the year, but has not played since Week 5 when he sustained a sprained right LCL in a loss to Cleveland. The Bills are 1-3 since turning to backups Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel.
Manuel is an obvious upgrade compared to any of his fellow QB teammates. The big concern is rushing back their prized young prospect. Some local beat writers feel it would be best if Manuel rested until Week 11 since those early reports have eyed that game as his eventual return. The Bills are currently 3-6 so bringing him back early really doesn't accomplish anything in the short-term.
