Report: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers out three weeks

Knocked out early in Green Bay's Monday night home loss to Chicago, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 could miss another three weeks with a collarbone injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that initial tests showed a small fracture in Rodgers' collarbone. The Packers have not made any announcements and more tests will take place on Tuesday.

Fantasy Analysis:

Attention fantasy owners: No panic moves, not yet. Should Rodgers miss three games, he would still return for the fantasy playoffs (Weeks 13-16). Even though he's virtually irreplaceable, owners in 10-12 team leagues should be able to scrap together some QB combo bandaid plan in the short-term. Now, that plan ideally does not include backup Seneca Wallace, who struggfled mightily in place of Rodgers. Wallace only joined the Packers as the season started so he's not same lifer in Mike McCarthy's offense. It's also important to realize that backups typically receive almost no snaps in practice. With extra reps in practice and considering the lightweight defenses on Green Bay's immediate schedule (Eagles, @Giants, Vikings), don't rule out the Packers passing game just yet. Oh, certainly not at Rodgers' level, but enough to keep Jordy Nelson, Jarrett Boykin and James Jones in weekly lineup plans, though down a tier from their usual expectations.
