Concussions can put a player's career on hold for weeks, months or, in the case of those who suffer many of them, forever. For Saints running back Darren Sproles , it appears the concussion he sustained on Sunday held him back for only a day or two. Sproles said Wednesday that he has passed his concussion tests and is "fine." He was well enough to put in a full practice. He is definitely on track to play in this weekend's game versus the Cowboys.
Now if only we could trust Sproles to produce. He is still a good option in PPR leagues because he catches a handful of passes per game. But in standard leagues, Sproles has a grand total of 10 points in his last four games. The Cowboys' defense is terrible, and the Saints should be able to score almost at will in the Superdome on Sunday night. Plus, Dallas has allowed a league-high 516 receiving yards to running back this season. But we can't just forget what he hasn't done over the past month. Because of the matchup, Sproles an RB2 in PPR leagues, but a flex at the absolute best in standard leagues.
