Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe will start in Week 11 versus the Denver Broncos. The former LSU receiver will avoid discipline for his arrest since the NFL will not take action until after the court has come to a final decision on the matter. Bowe was suspended in 2009 for a performance-enhancing drug issue and has no previous substance abuse issues so he isn't a repeat offender. It is possible the Chiefs could discipline on their own, but no announcement has been made about that.
Bowe is coming off one of his better games this year. He caught seven of his 12 targets for 67 yards. Seems like nothing gets in the way of the football machine. The Chiefs are the last undefeated team in the NFL and sitting pretty with a 9-0 record. Of course they could sit Bowe to potentially minimize a future suspension or you know, just to do the right thing. But what incentive does Kansas City have to do anything in this culture cultivated by the NFL?
