Mark down December 1 on your calendars. That is the date Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler hopes to return to the field. In the mean time, there are concerns about "worrisome ligament issues" in his ankle according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune. "The ankle is the problem. The groin is going to be fine," Cutler said. Backup QB Josh McCown will play as the Bears continue to evaluate Cutler on a week-to-week basis.
The Bears are 2-2 in the four games where McCown has played. His numbers are adequate for fantasy owners, but they certainly don't jump off the page. He's thrown five TDs and no INTs across those five games. Chicago, Arizona and San Francisco are tied at 6-4 for the NFC's sixth seed. Every game is important from here on out. Use McCown at your own risk and preferrably when the matchup is very favorable.
