Minnesota has lost five of their last six games. Some might feel something has to change in orderfor the Vikings to turn it around. Contrary to that opinion, Minnesota has opted to announce quarterback Christian Ponder will remain the starter going into Week 12. The former Florida State QB has four TDs in his previous three games. Matt Cassel was brought in last week against Seattle, yet the job remains with Ponder.
The Vikings continue to shuffle things around. Cassel, Ponder, Josh Freeman , etc. Obviously none of them are the answer long-term. All of the QBs are auditioning for a job through the spring and summer. This next draft class certainly has plenty of options at the position so it'll be interesting to see what direction this franchise takes with a different signal-collar. Also, will Ponder have a job next year on a different team? Only time will tell. In the short term, keep Ponder on your bench or deep in the waiver wire for Week 12.
