Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly officially confirmed to the media Nick Foles will be the team's starter for the remainder of the 2013 season. The second-year QB has been dominant up to this point, passing for 16 TDs and no INTs with most of those numbers coming in just six games as the starter. He supplants Michael Vick at the No. 1 spot after the former Virginia Tech QB continued to struggle with ball security and injuries.
Vick had a nice run with the Eagles and it's unfortunate it has to end this way. There seem to be just as many negative memories of Vick's time in Philly as positive. As has always been the case with Vick, it felt like he never quite put it all together due to his consistent risk of injury and underwhelming performances. Just when you counted him out, he'd turn around and make a crazy play or produce a stat-line only he could. The highs were high and the lows were very low. Foles provides stability to this team and he is a must-own QB1 in fantasy leagues now and looking ahead to next season.
