Rams running back Zac Stacy was limited to minimal work during the walk-through portion of Wednesday's practice. Officially, he did not practice and is still working his way through the league's concussion protocol. He left Sunday's game against the Bears in the third quarter due to the traumatic brain injury.
Even after watching the 49ers bottle up the Redskins' entire running game on Monday, Stacy is at least a fine RB2 if he gets cleared to play this week. He has been productive enough against other tough fronts -- Carolina and Seattle -- and has earned that right. However, there's a real chance Stacy won't play on Sunday. Benny Cunningham would be the team's lead runner in that case. I would not like him as anything more than a flex. Don't put too much stock into Cunningham's good numbers from Week 12 against the Bears; the Bears' run defense is a joke. I don't trust the rookie to have nearly as much success versus San Fran.
