49ers RB Frank Gore, WR Michael Crabtree set to play Sunday

49ers RB Frank Gore, WR Michael Crabtree set to play Sunday

The 49ers' offense will look as complete as it has looked all year against the Rams on Sunday. That's because wide receiver Michael Crabtree @KingCrab15 will make his 2013 debut, the team has confirmed. It will come a little more than six months after Crabtree tore his Achilles tendon. He will be joined by a man who has played in every game this year, running back Frank Gore. Gore has been battling an ankle ailment, which he aggravated last week. He was limited during all practices but is officially listed as probable for Week 13.

Fantasy Analysis:

Crabtree isn't even on the injury report, but he's not worth a gamble this week. Feel free to stash him for the playoffs, and maybe he'll be a noticeable contributor in a couple of weeks. He'll be on a low snap count against the Rams, and it will undoubtedly take him some time to knock off the rust after such an impactful injury.
Gore's shrinking workload is worrisome -- his touches have declined each of the last four weeks, all the way down to 14 against the Redskins on Monday -- but he remains a very solid start versus a Rams defense that has allowed five touchdowns in running backs in their past three games.
