Bills RB C.J. Spiller says he's 'fine' after tweaking ankle

The definition of C.J. Spiller @CJSPILLER's season and most of his career played out during Sunday's game against the Falcons. He carried the ball only 15 times. Thirteen of those carries went for a total of 36 yards. The other two? A 77-yard run up the middle and a 36-yard burst to the outside for a touchdown. And Spiller added multiple hobbled trips to the sideline for good measure. Spiller said after the game that he was fine, but he was seen limping in the locker room. Spiller has been limited on the field due to ankle issues since late September.

Fantasy Analysis:

The hope was that the Bills' Week 12 bye cured all that ailed Spiller. And for most of the game, he did look fine indeed, flashing the explosive ability that made him so attractive to fantasy owners during drafts. But it sounds like the ankle troubles are here to stay. We'll let you know if his latest episode turns into anything more serious. Spiller will remain a risk/reward RB2 for the rest of the season.

agreed. It's infuriating to see all the other great players I passed on to select Spiller at #6 given all the hype he received from nearly every analyst pre-draft. What a waste of a pick.

i started CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson last week and it paid off bigtime. Buffalo has a great run schedule from last week on and CJ Spiller will be a bargain next year as a second/third round pick.

RB's are like this. They can drive you crazy..just ask Shady McCoy owners. One year they get hurt and are a bust, next year they're back on the pedestal.
