Eschewing the machismo-laced, definitive tone that an injured Adrian Peterson presented on his Week 15 status earlier this week, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew presented a more measured and possibly realistic take on his own health Wednesday. He said that his goal is still to play this weekend against the Bills, but Hays Carlyon, a Jaguars beat writer for the Florida Times-Union, added that Jones-Drew "doesn't sound overly confident" about his chances. Jones-Drew suffered a hamstring injury Thursday versus the Texans.
MJD certainly sounded more confident last week when asked if he would play in Week 15. Now, as the days pass and the game closes in, MJD probably isn't healing as fast as he would have thought/hoped. If he can't play, Jordan Todman would be a flex play as the Jaguars' majority runner. The Bills have averaged 17.5 fantasy points allowed to starting RBs in their last four games.
