It seems like only a couple of days that Percy Harvin 's season was all but over as he and his surgically repaired hip were destined to land on injured reserve.
That's because it was a couple of days ago. But Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll made a surprise announcement Monday: Harvin will practice this week "with the intention of playing in this next game." That game will take place Jan. 11 against the Packers, Eagles or 49ers.
Harvin has played in just one game this year due to the rehabilitation of and setbacks with his hip. He took to Twitter shortly after Carroll's comments to speak to Seahawks fans.
"12's see u in 2 weeks ... It's go time once again," Harvin wrote.
This is not confirmation that Harvin will play, only hope. And we've been down that street before with him. Stay tuned for updates, especially next week. With his game status still up in the air, Harvin is a very risky fantasy playoffs pick. There's no guarantee that he will see a full complement of snaps even if he is active.
