Ravens HC John Harbaugh 'Ray Rice fought through some things, issues with his legs.'

This admission comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with the Ravens this year. Ray Rice @RayRice27 suffered through his worst season since his rookie campaign and many speculated that a hip flexor and quadriceps injury were at least partially to blame. While Rice appeared in 15 games, he averaged only 3.1 YPC with 4 touchdowns in 2013.

Fantasy Analysis:

Rice was drafted in the late first round of most fantasy drafts heading into the season, and was one of a long list of first round busts. Doug Martin, CJ Spiller, Trent Richardson and Arian Foster join Rice as big question marks heading into next year.

While injuries may have had something to do with his lack of production, offensive line issues may have been equally to blame. Some thought Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30 would outplay Rice in relief this season, but no one was running behind this line. While Pierce got his touches, he did less with them than Rice did, averaging only 2.9 YPC.

Rice is only 26 years old, but his Ravens have made the postseason every year with Rice, with a lot of deep runs including a Superbowl. Making him an "old" 26. A full offseason of rest should make a huge difference, but considering a potential new additions to the first round in 2014, Le'Veon Bell, Zac Stacy, Eddie Lacy, it's hard to imagine that Ray Rice will get the trust from fantasy owners he once had.
