Vikings tab Mike Zimmer as head coach

After spending the last 14 seasons as a defensive coordinator for three franchises, Mike Zimmer is finally getting a promotion. The Vikings have hired him to be their next head coach. According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Vikings decided Zimmer was their guy on Tuesday night following a second interview. The job was officially offered and accepted Wednesday.
Zimmer had been the Bengals' defensive coordinator since 2008. Cincinnati's defense was a top-10 unit in points and yards allowed in four of the past five seasons.

Fantasy Analysis:

The fervent Zimmer has deserved a head-coaching gig for a few years. He gets one with a team that possessed one of the worst defenses in 2013. For fantasy purposes, whom Zimmer hires to be his offensive coordinator will be critically important. It seems like current Browns OC Norv Turner is at the top of the wish list.
