Wide receiver Calvin Johnson was walking wounded as the Lions' 2013 season fell into a tailspin. He didn't play in Week 17 due to a knee injury that nagged him for the majority of the season, and he also had a finger injury. However, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said Wednesday that Johnson underwent surgeries to fix both boo-boos in the past couple of weeks and is recovering well from each.
In 14 games, Johnson caught 84 passes for 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Both surgeries are seen as minor and should have no impact on Johnson's long-term ability. Johnson, 28, will be fine in due time and remains fantasy football's undisputed top wideout.
