Next season will be a 'big year' for Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

I guess it's never too early to fire up the hype train on some players for 2014.
Chiefs general manager John Dorsey told the Kansas City Star recently that next season will be a 'big year' for young time end Travis Kelce.
"It will be good for [Kelce] to move forward, and it will be good for us just to show everybody why we drafted him in the third round," Dorsey said.
The Chiefs drafted Kelce in the third round in 2013 because of his special blend of athleticism and size. NFL.com compared him to Rob Gronkowski. But Kelce's rookie year turned into a total wash. A bad knee bruise suffered during the preseason led to season-ending microfracture surgery in October after he played in just one game.

Fantasy Analysis:

Anthony Fasano @Anthony_Fasano and Sean McGrath were the Chiefs' lead tight ends and combined for 49 catches, 502 yards and five touchdowns. Kelce can put up those numbers on his own with the type of skill set he has. He's a deep sleeper for 2014, but his playing time could be largely decided by how much he improves as a blocker this offseason. Fasano is much better than Kelce in that critical area for a run-first offense.
