Vikings' Kyle Rudolph could be latest TE to benefit from Norv Turner's coaching

"Norv Turner should help [tight end's name here] be even more productive this season." That's kind of how it goes with Norval. He was in San Diego as Antonio Gates became one of the best at the position. Last year, he was in Cleveland for Jordan Cameron's breakout campaign. Now, as the new offensive coordinator for the Vikings, these kinds of statements, via's Ben Goessling, seem inevitable:
"What I would watch for, though, is a bigger role for Kyle Rudolph @KyleRudolph82," Goessling wrote Saturday. "Think about the tight ends Turner's had over the years ... . Flexing Rudolph out and letting him work through the middle of the defense could be a bigger part of the Vikings' game next season, and it could accomplish some of the effect you're shooting for with a spread scheme."

Fantasy Analysis:

We know Rudolph is already a big-time weapon around the end zone; he scored nine times in 2012. But he has the size and enough athleticism to line up in the slot on a corner or a linebacker and win those matchups. Of course, the Vikings need to address their quarterback situation, but consider that Cameron did a lot of his best work last year when Brandon Weeden was under center. Rudolph can have a career year no matter whom the QB is in Turner's system. He'll be a nice sleeper in 2014 drafts.
