Reggie Bush is coming off the most productive season of his eight-year career. He will enter his age-29 season in 2014, so he should keep posting high totals as he is still in his physical prime and with an explosive offense. But what will Bush look like on the field five years from now? If it's up to Bush, we'll find out.
Bush said in a Friday interview with Pro Football Talk that he "would love to get at least another five years in."
Bush is signed with the Lions through 2016 and realizes that he will have to take on a different mindset once he reaches double-digit seasons.
"Once you get past year 10 you just kind of, 'Ok, I'll see how I feel after this year,' and you just kind of take it from there," Bush said.
Bush will be 33 years old five seasons from now. Since 1920, only 10 backs have gained at least 900 yards from scrimmage at that age. Can Bush be No. 11? Most of us don't need to stress over that right now. Those in dynasty leagues should take note that Bush is quickly approaching the big 3-0. But he is still an RB1 in 12-team re-draft leagues.
