Sunday: Top QB's, RB's, and WR's at the combine

Sunday: Top QB's, RB's, and WR's at the combine

The NFL combine is in full swing and we're going to post some results of some notable players today. Until the entirety of a position runs the 40, the times will be unofficial. Keep checking back as news and results are updated.

Since we're fantasy focused, we'll be primarily looking at potential starters for 2014. And Jordan Lynch, which is in no way related to the fact that I graduated from NIU. Go Huskies.

Fantasy Analysis:

Top prospect Teddy Bridgewater will not run or throw today. His only measurable will be the broad jump.

Notable QB 40 times (official)

Johnny Manziel 4.68

Blake Bortles 4.93

Teddy Bridgewater Did not run

Zach Mettenberger Yet to Run

Derek Carr 4.69

Tajh Boyd 4.84

Jimmy Garappolo 4.93

AJ McCarron 4.94

Jordan Lynch 4.76

Notable WR's (official) These aren't all of the fastest, but the WR's projected in the top 3 or 4 rounds. Sammy Watkins and Kelvin Benjamin look great today. Watkins is a top 5 talent and will be an immediate fantasy impact player.

Sammy Watkins 4.43

Mike Evans 4.53

Marqise Lee 4.52

Kelvin Benjamin 4.61

Odell Beckham Jr. 4.31

Allen Robinson 4.6

Davante Adams 4.5

Paul Richardson 4.35

Martavis Bryant 4.42

Robert Herron 4.48

Jarod Abbrederis 4.44

Notable RB's (official 40) Every year since Chris Johnson set the 40 yard dash record at the combine at 4.24, we watch to see if someone will break it. This year the speedy Dri Archer came close by running a 4.26. The Kent St. product will likely contribute to a teams return game right away.

Ka'Deem Carey 4.70

Tre Mason 4.50

Carlos Hyde 4.66

Bishop Sankey 4.49

Jeremy Hill 4.66

Devonta Freeman 4.58
