49ers RB Marcus Lattimore is close to 100 percent healthy

49ers running back Marcus Lattimore @MarcusLattimore suffered a horrendous knee injury in 2012 while playing of the University of South Carolina -- torn right ACL, MCL and PCL along with a kneecap dislocation. As a rookie in 2013, he was in no shape to play. But 2014 should be a different story.
Lattimore told the Associated Press that his knee feels close to 100 percent and he is eagerly awaiting April 21, the date the 49ers open offseason workouts and Lattimore says he'll be allowed to run at full bore.
"The left knee, it feels like nothing ever happened," Lattimore said. "The right knee, it feels great. Both feel balanced. I've got my speed and I rarely get any soreness ...."
Lattimore tore the ACL in his left knee in 2011.

Fantasy Analysis:

Lattimore also said he's delved deeply into the Niners' thick playbook so he can be mentally prepared for OTAs.
I am rooting so hard for this kid. Not only because it's awesome when a person can overcome so much adversity to achieve a dream, but also because Lattimore can be a game-changing player if his previous injuries haven't taken away too much of his immense talent. He may be only second fiddle to Frank Gore at best next season, but Lattimore's dynasty value is sizeable ... IF he can truly come back as his old self. He is only 21 years old.
