According to ESPN NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, free agent RB Darren McFadden is the running back garnering the most interest from potential suitors. The Raiders have said they'd like to keep him, at the right price. The Bengals were once rumored to have an interest in McFadden, but that has since subsided. So, for now, the teams that are "interested" shall remain anonymous. The hard part about reporting "rumors" is that they're just that... rumors. However, as far as rumor-starters go, Adam Schefter has one of the best reputations and set of sources around the league. This one probably has some merit.
McFadden has talent. That's never been questioned. But, good grief, we'd like to see it!! He hasn't played more than 13 games in any season during his six-year career, and only played in 10 in 2013. In 2010, he combined for over 1,600 yards rushing and receiving, averaging over 5 yards per carry with 47 receptions and 10total touchdowns. He did this in only 13 games, which had fantasy owners (especially in PPR leagues) salivating and drafting him in the first round in 2011 . Since then, it's been all downhill.
Maybe a change of scenery would do worlds of good for McFadden. Oakland has been a dumpster fire the past two seasons, winning four games in each. It would be hard to get up for games on a team that bad, but if you're a professional, you still have to bring it every Sunday (See Adrian Peterson). Fantasy owners would love to see a resurrection to his career. If he ends up on a team where he's the only show in town and his O-line can actually create holes, it's possible. However, the odds of McFadden ever seeing 1,000+ yards rushing or 10+ touchdowns in a season again are slim.
