Texans running back Arian Foster resurfaced on Twitter on Saturday after a short hiatus, and besides interactions about God, music, and Pokémon -- all which is a sliver why Foster is such an awesome follow -- he had some football news for everyone.
"And for those wondering, I've been medically cleared by my doctor," Foster tweeted.
In case you forgot, Foster's 2013 season ended in November due to a back injury, and he had just four carries after October 13. He underwent surgery to fix a disc issue in his lower back about four months ago.
Foster was bothered by hamstring, chest and hand injuries prior to his debilitating back injury. He should be fine for offseason workouts and training camp, but the injury concerns surrounding him are a major red flag. Handling the ball more than 390 times in 2010 and 2012 may have really taken a long-term toll on his body. Foster was still productive when he was able to finish games last season; he averaged almost 14 fantasy points per game from Weeks 1-6. He will be a very interesting risk/reward pick, and I'm sure we'll have countless discussions about him during the summer. I think he can still be a fine RB1. The Texans really need Foster to return to form, especially since Ben Tate has departed for Cleveland.
