Texans RB Arian Foster says his back surgery 'wasn't as major as it sounded'

If you want to see Texans running back Arian Foster @ArianFoster in a football setting, you will get a chance as soon as Friday. That's when the Kevin Costner-led vehicle "Draft Day" debuts in theaters nationwide. Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman said Foster "looks like a real damn actor" during his four-minute part.
Foster's return to the actual NFL will take place this summer. He was medically cleared last month following November surgery to fix a herniated disc in his back. Foster told Freeman that surgery "wasn't as major as it sounded. That's why I rebounded so quickly. I also worked my ass off. I'm expecting to do bigger things and bounce back."

Fantasy Analysis:

Spin it as he might, back surgery to fix a disc issue is still pretty serious, especially for a running back who took 2010-2012 and paid the price with an injury-marred 2013 season that limited him to just eight games played. At least he should be 100 percent by training camp. When fantasy owners arrive at their own draft day, Foster will be about as high risk/high reward as they come at the RB position.
