A couple of hours following a report that wide receiver Sidney Rice was visiting the Jets, the Seahawks have re-signed Rice to a one-year deal. Rice, 27, is coming off of ACL surgery, but he was cleared for football activities a couple of days ago. He has played the past three seasons in Seattle. The Seahawks released him in February, but they brought him back at a presumably low price because they don't have a ton of wide receiver depth.
Rice will most likely compete against Jermaine Kearse and others to be the Seahawks' No. 3 WR, behind Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin. Rice is a big, strong target but one with a lengthy injury history. He seems much older than 27. He has minimal fantasy value.
