Eagles RB LeSean McCoy says he could be better with fewer touches

Darren Sproles @DarrenSproles' lead role in the Eagles' offense will probably be as a wide receiver out of the backfield and in the slot. But he will also see a few carries every week, and the combination of those touches will impact LeSean McCoy @CutonDime25's workload. And it sounds like McCoy is fine with that after he led the league in 2013 with 366 touches.
"I think 366 touches is a lot," McCoy said during a Friday radio interview. "Being in the prime of my career and bringing in a guy like Sproles who can do so much, we'll work well together. I think having me fresh in the fourth quarter with fewer carries can be even more dangerous."

Fantasy Analysis:

Interestingly, McCoy led the NFL in fourth-quarter rushing yards last year and had the highest yards-per-carry average (5.96) among those who had at least 40 carries in the quarter. It's not news to say that Sproles will eat into McCoy's workload, but it shouldn't be a huge chunk. McCoy is still going to see about 300 touches and be a high-end RB1 cinch. Sproles is an intriguing flex option in the Eagles' dynamic offense.
