The Vikings made a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to get back into the first round and close it out with a splashy pick. The Vikings drafted Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. They gave up the 40th overall pick and a fourth-round pick in this draft for the rights to the 32nd pick.
The Vikings moved up to get the QB they wanted before the Texans likely take quarterback -- David Carr? -- with the first pick tomorrow. Bridgewater was one of the draft's biggest fallers after a poor Pro Day. His accuracy at all levels of the field needs improvement, and his footwork can look bad at times, too. But Bridgewater has a big arm and plenty of upside -- it's not as if the reasons why he was once considered to be a top pick completely evaporated in a couple of months. However, as a rookie, even if he starts ahead of Matt Cassel, I don't want any part of him for fantasy purposes.
