When the Browns signed quarterback Vince Young on May 1, I wrote that he will at least be given a chance to gain a job with the team.
That turned out not to be the case. Blame Johnny Football if you want. After just 11 days as a Brown, and during which time the team added two rookies to its QB stable, Young was thrown back out into the free-agent wilderness. The team announced Young's release Monday. Quarterback Alex Tanney and running back Fozzy Whittaker were among the players released with him.
The Browns now have Brian Hoyer , Johnny Manziel, Tyler Thigpen, and Connor Shaw comprising their quarterback depth chart.
So, will THIS be Young's last stop in the NFL? I hope not, if for no other reason than his name and celebrity give me something quick and easy to write about.
