ESPN Michael Rothstein reported that Golden Tate stated he is about "70-80 percent" in progress with learning his new offensive playbook and schemes. While their is plenty to get adjusted to with his new city, playbook, and staff we all wonder what type of chemistry Tate, and Stafford will produce, and how quickly.
Golden Tate was a surprisingly playable wide out during last years fantasy season. Whats really promising this year, considering the progression with learning a new offense, is with how new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi plans on using Tate. Lombardi is coming over to the Lions after a sever year stint with the New Orleans Saints where we saw how Darren Sproles, and Lance Moore produced well in the short yardage passing game. I love the space Calvin Johnson can create for Golden Tate along with a short yardage passing scheme behind Lombardi. Consider Tate a WR2 that has a great enviroment to succeed giving you great draft value when you think ADP for point production.
