Colts coaches say RB Trent Richardson is playing more instinctively

I don't think I need to remind you just how bad Trent Richardson was last season. Most of all, I don't want to remind myself because I owned him. But I'll bring up one number: 2.91. That was Richardson's yards-per-carry average once he was traded to the Colts in Week 3.
It was obvious that Richardson didn't run hard at the point of attack way too often last season. He spent too much time dancing and wasting footsteps in the backfield. A lack of confidence and knowledge of the playbook were given blame. Whatever the case, Richardson did impress his coaches during recent OTAs. Via's Jim Trotter, Colts coaches said Richardson relied more on his instincts while running instead of overthinking and trying to do too much with the ball.

Fantasy Analysis:

Trotter added that Richardson "has a chance to be a 3-down player."
And therein lies one reason why I am still interested in drafting Richardson again. He can be a three-down back. There isn't much competition for the starting job behind him (Sorry, fans of Ahmad Bradshaw @AhmadBradshaw and Vick Ballard @VickBallard). And I saw too much talent from him as a rookie in 2012 to believe that it has all evaporated so quickly. Although the Colts will put the ball in Andrew Luck's hands more often this year, Richardson is attractive to me at his current fifth-round ADP.
