ESPN's Adam Schefter has been the bearer of negative Dolphins news today. The one with the largest fantasy impact is that running back Knowshon Moreno will miss the next month or so as he will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee soon.
Schefter also reported earlier today that center Mike Pouncey will miss at least three months due to hip surgery. As such, the Dolphins will open the season with five new starters along their offensive line.
We knew Moreno's knee injury was "bad," we just didn't know to what extent. Considering what it could have been, this can be seen as ... good news? OK, maybe not, but it's not the worst-case scenario. Moreno will likely start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, but he should be ready to go for the regular season.
This news will only up Lamar Miller 's draft stock even more. Conversely, Moreno's stock will plummet, making him a really cheap buy in August. Once again, Miami's running backs will have their work cut out for them behind a shaky O-line.
