Lions running back Joique Bell posted a picture on Instagram a couple of months ago that showed his left knee in bandages and crutches at his side. The exact nature of that injury or what has been done to cure it remains unknown, but don't worry about that. It doesn't seem like the injury will be an issue much longer.
Although Bell missed all of Detroit's offseason practices, he has been given clearance to run at full speed and told MLive.com on Tuesday that he feels 100 percent.
"I'm feeling great," Bell said.
Bell gained close to 1,200 total yards on just 219 touches last season. He is an elusive back but one who is also adept at breaking tackles. He is a good receiver and should see plenty of goal-line chances again. With a new three-year contract in hand, the Lions should be looking for ways to use Bell more often this season. He could have standalone RB2 value even if Reggie Bush remains healthy. If Bush gets injured, which we've become accustomed to, Bell will be a low-end RB1 in standard and PPR leagues.
