Titans RB Bishop Sankey ready to make an impact

During OTAs and minicamp, Titans rookie Bishop Sankey used the locker that belonged to Chris Johnson @ChrisJohnson28 last year. The Titans don't need Sankey to replicate what Johnson did on the field during in his time in Tennessee -- although they probably wouldn't mind it. They are looking for the second-rounder to step in right away and lead their running game. Sankey thinks he's up to the challenge.
"I think I can have a big impact," Sankey told The Tennessean recently. "For me, it's just getting in the plays, getting comfortable with the playbook. Once I get used to everything, practicing with the vets, getting used to the speed and things like that, I think I can have a big impact."
Sankey missed a few OTAs due to his classes still being in session at the University of Washington. He tried to make up for lost time by going over that playbook every day with running backs coach Sylvester Croom. However, Sankey said those calls don't compare to taking the plays to the field and getting in those live reps.

Fantasy Analysis:

Some around the league question Sankey's ability to be a true feature back, but the Titans are going to give him every opportunity to be just that in their run-first offense. They don't have many other good options -- Shonn Greene and his bad right knee? Jackie Battle? Dexter McCluster @dextermccluster? Nope, Sankey is the man until he fails. Even for a rookie, he's a fine pick as a low-end RB2 or high-end flex.
