According to Bengals.com editor Geoff Hobson, you could "see it close to an even split" in the Bengals' backfield this season between Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill. Bernard is the starter with a probable increase in carries but the Bengals will look to protect Gio and split the workload between rookie Hill, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and even Rex Burkhead .
This is definitly not the news you want to hear going into the season and also into the upcoming fantasy footballl 'Draft Month." I know for one, I am high on Gio and expect him to produce as a RB1 and if possible better. This was surely not somthing we wanted to hear and just adds to the hindering ability to find a running back that is 'the guy' on his team. I like to refer to this as running back starvation as the copy cat league the NFL is continues to see teams implement the RBBC [running back-by-committee] mentality. With all that said, I also take this information with a grain of salt considering their is no true verification of the game plan and it is stated that you "almost could" see a even split.
This isn't the news or rumor you want to see spread. Stay true to the course, draft Bernard early and often. Gio at this time is the 11th RB off the board and sits in at 18th overall if not better. Lets see what happens as we get closer to week 1 kickoff but until then, don't shy away.
