Wilson declared via Twitter Monday that he has been "cleared for everything." Wilson underwent neck surgery following a Week 5 injury last year versus the Eagles. It was originally feared that Wilson's career might be over. That has not proved to be the case, however, and Wilson will now be set to join fellow RB Rashad Jennings in the Giants backfield this season.
This is encouraging news for David WIlson as a player. However, fantasy owners shouldn't immediately rush out and draft him. The hype went too far on Wilson last year. Before the injury ended his season, he was struggling mightily on the field, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry. Now that Rashad Jennings appears to be in the driver's seat for touches, owners should consider Wilson a shaky handcuff until he proves otherwise. Wilson is currently being drafted 48th among fantasy running backs.
