"And the best competition might be Ben Tate and our guy Terrance West from Towson, who I really like'' were the words of Browns head coach Mike Pettine speaking about the teams running back competition. The Browns signed RB Ben Tate in the offseason from the Houston Texans, and then also drafted RB West in Round 3 and immediately signed undrafted free agent RB Isaiah Crowell. It was initially thought Tate was brought in to be 'the guy' but this new information shows there will actually be competition for the starting spot. Browns camp is one to watch as there is also a high profile battle for QB duties between rookie Johnny Manziel and veteran Brian Hoyer.
Terrance West definitely has a head of steam going into camp, although I don't expect him to win-out on the competition. He's still very raw, and veteran Ben Tate has showed flashes of high-level running ability at his time in Houston. West is an easy stash in dynasty as he should have his chances with injury prone Tate leading the way.
