ESPN's Colts reporter Mike Wells says RB Vick Ballard has been medically cleared to play football and should be ready to go for training camp. This comes after Ballard tore his ACL last season and has been rehabbing ever since. He is expected to compete with RB Ahmad Bradshaw for backup duties to struggling Trent Richardson.
This is good news for the Colts offense. If you remember, before he went down with a torn ACL in 2013, in 2012 he started games as a rookie for the Colts and led the team in carries with 211. At only 24 years old and heading into his third season, he could eventually surpass Richardson as the Colts lead back. He is a deep bench stash for dynasty and a player to monitor for redraft leagues.
