ESPN Bengals reporter said TE Tyler Eifert had "attention-grabbing receptions" in the first day of training camp. This comes after there were some worries that Eifert wouldn't be ready to go for camp while still healing from a shoulder injury. All systems are a go for the second-year tight end with Jermaine Gresham on the PUP list due to a back injury.
Eifert is a name to keep track of. He's poised for a breakout season if he can stay healthy. Gresham is almost guaranteed to be playing backup after last years underwhelming performance and starting this year's camp on the PUP list. The only concern will be OC Hue Jackson's run-heavy tendencies which could be a damper on Eiferts numbers.
