Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is already irked that rookie wide receiver Odell Bekcham hasn't been able to practice since Tuesday because of a balky hamstring. In that case, no one should tell him this: Beckham won't practice for at least another week.
Beckham underwent some tests on his hamstring Monday. The good news is the tests came back negative, but according to Jordan Raanan and Conor Orr of NJ.com, Beckham is expected to be sidelined for at least another week.
A bunch of players in camp are already sore, but this is more concerning because Beckham's hamstring woes go back to spring practice. A player becomes more susceptible to hamstring problems each time he injures the muscle (look at Miles Austin ). While his dynasty stock remains robust, exercise caution in re-draft leagues. Beckham was understandably listed as a second-team WR when the team released its first official depth chart of the season on Monday. His absence creates more space for Jerrel Jernigan to shine.
